Bird Report – Mont Pinacle

The magnolia warbler was the star of our activity this Sunday morning at the Mont Pinacle. Some of our group who were beginning birders might have been overwhelmed by the number of warblers species that were present, but it really was a treat for me to see and hear the Magnolia warbler.  After everyone left as I was locking the gate a chestnut sided-warbler perched nearby too.

Thanks everyone who participated in this activity.  I look forward to visiting Mont Pinacle again.  Here is the list of birds that we observed:

  1. Ruffed Grouse
  2. Yellow-bellied Sapsucker
  3. Red-eyed Vireo
  4. Blue Jay
  5. Black-capped Chickadee
  6. Golden-crowned Kinglet
  7. Veery
  8. American Robin
  9. Ovenbird
  10. Magnolia Warbler
  11. Black-throated Blue Warbler
  12. Black-throated Green Warbler
  13. Rose-breasted Grosbeak

I had a great time and learned a lot! It was amazing to have someone who knew so much in French and English and knew how to speak bird as well! I loved how excited he got when telling us about birds, it made the walk even more fun. We will be looking out for more bird walks for sure
