18 May Bird Report
Huttopia May 18, 2019
8 degrees, 8 people
Had an amazing hike at Huttopia this morning with a really nice group. We heard and saw a lot of birds on the walk up to the main “centre de vie” building. Once in the woods the ambiance was amazing. A hermit thrush, winter wren and blackburnian warbler were all singing in a low area of the forest at around 9am. It was magical! Some good views of the blackburnian warbler and oven bird. We saw a sparrow that was hard to identify. it looked like a white-throated but the yellow dots were not present and the black and white striped crown was oddly half present. It was blotchy. Probably a young white throated sparrow.
